Chong Hun Cook, a New York resident with dual Korean and American citizenship, is launching a non-profit organization called Justice-4-Humanity to raise awareness about domestic spousal and family abuse, stemming from her own tragic experiences in Ohio, where she alleges her children suffered abuse at the hands of her late husband, a former U.S. Air Force Sergeant. Despite taking her daughter to Nationwide Hospital, which diagnosed her as a victim of sexual assault, and reporting the incident to the Franklin County Police Department, no charges were ever brought against her husband before his death.

Cook's subsequent civil lawsuit against the state of Ohio and the hospital was dismissed, leaving her feeling further devastated. Through Justice-4-Humanity, Cook aims to advocate for herself and others wronged by the system, offering educational and practical training in beauty services such as nails, lash extensions, and esthetic therapy, while providing resources for employment, mentorship, and community support. Her vision includes creating a safe space for individuals impacted by abuse to build connections and improve their lives, emphasizing the importance of self-care and personal empowerment.

Cook's daughter, Christine, is also passionate about the program, which combines academic learning with hands-on experience to prepare attendees for the New York State Licensing Test in cosmetology, fostering a supportive community where individuals can take charge of their futures and pursue fulfilling careers in the beauty industry.
